What is MindySheets?

MindySheets is an AI spreadsheet assistant. Upload an Excel or CSV file and Mindy, the assistant built into MindySheets, finds the problems, cleans the data with your approval, answers questions with exact numbers, checks formulas and writes reports you can download.

Is MindySheets free?

Yes. You can use the workspace and every free tool without signing up. Each visitor gets 25 free AI credits a day: a question, a cleaning plan or a formula uses one, a full report uses three. Cleaning, duplicate removal and the data view don’t use credits at all. Paid plans with higher limits are in early access.

Is my spreadsheet uploaded to your server?

No. Your file is opened and processed inside your browser. When you use an AI feature, MindySheets sends Claude a compact summary (column names, statistics and a few example rows) plus the results of the calculations it asks for. Turn on Private mode to hold back example rows. Your full file is never sent or stored.

Which AI model does MindySheets use?

Mindy runs on Claude, the AI model made by Anthropic, through Anthropic’s commercial API. Under Anthropic’s commercial terms, API inputs and outputs are not used to train their models by default.

Can the AI get the numbers wrong?

Mindy doesn’t do arithmetic in her head. Claude decides which calculation answers your question, and the MindySheets engine runs it over every row of your file. Every answer includes a “How Mindy calculated this” section with the exact calculations and results.

Which file types work?

Excel (.xlsx, .xlsm, .xls, .xlsb), OpenDocument (.ods), CSV, TSV and tab-delimited text files up to 50 MB. For Google Sheets, use File → Download → Microsoft Excel or CSV, then open the downloaded file.

Will MindySheets change my original file?

Never. You work on a copy inside your browser and download the result as a new Excel or CSV file. Every cleaning change is listed on a “Changes” sheet so you can check it.

How is this different from pasting data into a chatbot?

A general chatbot sees whatever slice of data you paste and may estimate figures. MindySheets is built for spreadsheets: it inspects every column, flags problems, lets you approve each fix, calculates answers exactly over all rows, and gives you back a finished file and report.
