Three ways to match
Real-world duplicates rarely match exactly. Pick how strict the comparison should be.

Choosing what makes a row unique
Duplicates are defined by the columns you match on. Mindy can suggest them, or pick your own.
- Orders and invoices: the order or invoice number.
- Contacts and customers: email address, or first name + last name + company.
- Bank and card transactions: date + amount + reference.
- Products: SKU, or product name + supplier.
- Whole-row copies: leave every column unticked to match on all of them.
Duplicate Finder questions
How does it decide what counts as a duplicate?
You choose the columns that identify a record, such as an order number, an email address, or a name plus a date. Rows that match on all of those columns are grouped as duplicates. Mindy can suggest the best columns.
Can it find near-duplicates?
Yes. “Ignore capitals and spaces” matches “Acme Ltd ” with “acme ltd”. “Smart match” also ignores punctuation, words like Ltd or Inc, and phone number formatting.
Which row is kept?
The first row of each group (the one highest in your file) is kept and the others are removed. You can review every group first and download a list of duplicates.
Can I undo it?
Yes. Removing duplicates can be undone from the Clean tab, and your original file is never changed.
Is there a row limit?
No fixed limit. Files up to 50 MB work in most browsers.
