Millions of people run their businesses on spreadsheets, and a surprising share of that time goes on chores: fixing spellings, hunting duplicates, untangling formulas, rebuilding the same report every month. MindySheets exists to take that work away.
Why we’re building MindySheets
Spreadsheets aren’t going anywhere, and they shouldn’t. They’re flexible, familiar and already hold the data that matters. What’s broken is the work around them. The export arrives messy. The formula someone wrote two years ago returns #REF!. The question your manager asks takes an afternoon of pivot tables to answer.
AI can now understand a request like “what changed compared with last month?”. But a general chatbot that estimates numbers isn’t good enough for business data. So we built MindySheets around a simple split: Claude understands what you mean, and a deterministic engine does the maths over every row. You see the working, approve every change, and leave with a finished file.
What we believe
- Numbers must be checkable. Every figure Mindy reports comes from a calculation you can see.
- You stay in control. Nothing in your data changes until you approve it, and everything can be undone.
- Your data is yours. Files are processed in your browser. Only summaries go to the AI.
- Finish the job. Not just advice on how to do the work — a clean file and a report you can send.
Where we’re heading
Today, Mindy is a spreadsheet assistant. Next, she becomes an AI data analyst that remembers your files and repeats your monthly work. Eventually, she connects to the systems behind the spreadsheets — accounting, CRM and inventory — and runs whole workflows for you.
