Terms of service

1. Using MindySheets

By using MindySheets you agree to these terms. If you use it for an organisation, you confirm you’re allowed to accept them on its behalf. You must be at least 16 years old.

2. The service

MindySheets helps you inspect, clean, analyse and report on spreadsheet files. Files are processed in your browser. AI features are provided through Anthropic’s Claude API. MindySheets is under active development: features may change, and we may add, limit or remove functionality.

3. Free use and limits

The free service includes a daily allowance of AI credits per visitor. We may change allowances, file-size limits and other limits to keep the service reliable and affordable. Don’t try to get around limits, for example by automating requests or rotating IP addresses.

4. Your files and results

You keep all rights to your files and to the results you create with MindySheets. You’re responsible for having the right to use the data you open, and for complying with any confidentiality obligations or data protection laws that apply to it. Use Private mode when you need to limit what is sent to the AI.

5. AI output

Mindy’s explanations, cleaning suggestions, formulas and reports are generated with AI and may be incomplete or wrong. Calculations are run by a deterministic engine, but the choice of calculation and the wording of answers come from an AI model. Review results, check important figures using “How Mindy calculated this”, and keep your original files. MindySheets doesn’t provide financial, accounting, tax or legal advice.

6. Acceptable use

Don’t use MindySheets to break the law, infringe others’ rights, process data you aren’t permitted to process, send malicious content, overload or probe our systems, or use the AI service for purposes unrelated to spreadsheets. You must also follow Anthropic’s usage policies when using AI features. We may suspend access to protect the service or other users.

7. Early access and paid plans

Prices and features shown for paid plans are planned and may change before launch. Joining early access doesn’t create a purchase obligation. When paid plans launch, they’ll be offered under additional terms that you’ll be asked to accept.

8. Our property

The MindySheets software, website, brand and content belong to us or our licensors. These terms don’t grant you any right to them except to use the service as intended.

9. Third-party services

MindySheets relies on third-party services, including Anthropic for AI processing and our hosting provider. Their availability and terms are outside our control.

10. Disclaimers

MindySheets is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and uninterrupted availability.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for lost profits, data or business, arising from your use of MindySheets. Our total liability for any claim relating to the free service is limited to USD 50. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

12. Changes and ending use

We may update these terms and will change the date above when we do. If you keep using MindySheets after an update, the new terms apply. You can stop using MindySheets at any time.
